Confession
If there was nothing - only the emptiness of space,
boundless wonder.
In the emptiness of space - the beauty of a single sunflower shining.
Wow! How did that one come into here?
I bite into the juicy apple.
How did it get the idea to surround its seeds with such a tasty fruit flesh?
Sharp-witted, with love, full of purpose - our universe - created.
The effect of creation: persons.
The cause of creation: no person?
We are beeing created into his image
because we are able to relate to Him.
He walked on earth - in human flesh - the Person Jesus of Nazareth.
Proof is the unique character and the deeds of Jesus.
In order to heal the broken relationship to us, He Himself removed the wall of separation.
The punishment, deserved for ignorance and rebellion, He carried on our behalf.
Out of love to His enemies He died the tormenting death.
He overcame death within three days.
Jesus is alive. Jesus is God. Jesus met with me.
So I am filled with meaning and peace,
seeing the world with new eyes.
Still so much is terrible.
But under His leadership He gives His Spirit .
Power for life. Joy in life. Courage. Responsibility to protect life and to share it.
Life that lasts beyond death.
For G. W. Leipnitz our present existence was the best possible word.
I much rather agree with the argument that
this world is the best way toward the best possible world,
because there is freedom for a relationship with the author of life
and freedom for antagonism against the author of life.
Therefore in God's new world it won't be puppets, that will
enjoy fellowship - with Him.
